I’m having a great blog day, courtesy of Sewing Butterfly.
My fellow blogger has nominated me for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award, for which I thank her sincerely. After only three short months blogging, I’m delighted to have inspired another talent in our crafty community to put my name forward for this thread of appreciation.
Not only has this been one of my favourite days as a blogger, but it’s also made me take the time to actually sit down and acknowledge some of the reasons why I follow and enjoy the blogs I do.
So, in light of the rules, I’ve mentioned three inspirational people / events that have struck me this week:
Mr Xstitch, my other half – aside from building the most beautiful kitchen with his own fair hands over the festive season, I’m inspired to blog, among other things, on a daily basis by this wonderful man. Most recently the words ‘remember you always have one more blog follower than it says in your stats because I follow you, I just don’t have WordPress…’ melted my heart.
My Granddad – despite being taken into hospital on New Years Day, and facing the prospect of spending his 81st birthday in a hospital bed, he still has faith and a sense of humour. Inspiration doesn’t even cover it.
My Naomi – a good friend of mine who packed up and went travelling around the world on her lonesome for most of last year. True courage and test of character for any person, and I’m delighted to say she thrived. An inspired act in anyone’s eyes, I’m sure.
And I nominate the following bloggers:
Pretty Little Things in a Box – for such elegant and inspired use of photography in your posts.
KnittingSarah – for your inspired combination of passion for knitting, eye for design and commitment to uploading fresh, regular content.
Stitcheroo My Darling – for always posting cross stitch patterns that make me say ‘I want to make that’.
Mad Man Knitting – for inspiring me to pick up my knitting needles again and attempting those beautiful bears
ilz’n’elle – for showing me that I can always take my homemade cards to another creative level
Once again I thank Sewing Butterfly for her nomination and urge other bloggers, craft enthusiasts and anyone with the internet to swing by her haven and enjoy.
